It has gone way down hill and looks like an old, forgotten, run-down mobile home park you would see in the poorer sections of any US small town. It definitely doesn't reflect the tidy, clean standards we are accustom to in the military. The base commander should be ashamed and the Wing CC should have a heart-to-heart talk with him.

Firs class RV park with super friendly staff. We were here for just an overnight, but could have stayed for the winter. Urban - Situated within an urban setting.
United Campgrounds
Will be sure to stay here again. Only bad thing was some of the long term people seem to think the rule about leashing there dogs dose not apply to them. Hope they start working on that rule a bit better.
Pull-In - Pull-in style RV sites. These sites generally are best suited to RV coaches with a windshields. Pull-in can include pull thru sites or sites designed specifically to pull nose in and back out to leave. If you want to cool off take a sip in the pool available at this campground or RV park. The pool may be open year round or seasonally call for details. Water - Water hookups or water fill locations.
Trails West RV Park
The only drawback was the distance to stream fishing. The only fishing close was the snake river. This was by far one of the nicest parks we have ever stayed. I would normally never use a parks shower , but they had the nicest cleanest showers I have ever seen. The hosts were absolutely wonderful.
Their campground wi-fi is very fast and reliable, but we also used our pep-wave router at times as well. The laundry room we used atleast 2-3 times per week and they were always clean, well-lit, and everything was working. The private showers we took advantage of as well to save the wear and tear on our rig.
Carmela RV Park
Shade - Provides campsites with shade coverings. Shade can be provided in a number of ways but primarily is caused by a forested setting or trees placed in a manner to block some direct sunlight. My only recommendations are for more signage when entering from the Commercial Gate, as well as direction of travel once inside the park. Also once in the park it would be nice to know where the BX, Commissary and other facilities were located on base. Granted it's a small base so we were able to drive around and find everything.

We had our grandkids with us and they enjoyed the large paved sites and grass areas. We also liked the playground and swimming pool. The showers were over the top with private showers and restrooms. We are planning to go back and spend several days.
Large, level concrete sites with grass. And, the best part, a big grassy dog park. The camp host cornered my 10 year old and 5 year old sons in the bathroom and screamed at them for being too loud after quiet hours. I heard the yelling and crying and came in to investigate.

Water is available here for your drinking pleasure. Nice little park with 90% being long term spots. Some not maintained as expected on an air base. Not able to walk to commissary or exchange. Price has gone up to $17 a night and that is expected and still quite reasonable.
Laundry room clean and machines worked fine. This park is beautiful, a high end 5-Star facility. You can see the white beads everywhere, but most products should be watered in and then allowed to dry before use. There is nothing shabby about this property. They do have a lot of rules but they aren't enforced, such as, no kennels, no unattended dogs outside, no flexi leashes, etc.
This is a great park for the price. Staff is friendly and go out of there way to be sure you like the park. Sites are large pull through with 30 and 50 amp.
The slide has a hide-a-bed sofa, hide-a-leaf dinette, refrigerator, pantry, and TV in the bedroom. The bedroom also offers a king bed slide. If winter camping brings to mind the idea of huddling in a tiny tent covered in icicles and snow ...
All in all, if you have to be plugged in for awhile, this is about the best facility out there. At midnight, I heard custodial staff making small talk over by the showers, and it was louder and lasted longer than it should have. The restrooms are extremely clean, the park is beautiful with wide spaces and groomed lawns. The staff is very helpful and we will absolutely stay here again.
Mountain Home has hired crazy people to host their campground. We were in a short term camping spot, paved pull through, hookups in good shape, close to office and laundry. This park is so clean and quiet!
